Adam Strachan

Adam Strachan’s practice is concentrated on trial and appellate litigation.  Adam has defended nearly every ski resort in Utah in various cases ranging from contract disputes to personal injury claims.  In 2013, Adam was lead defense counsel for the Canyons ski resort and obtained a defense verdict in a wrongful death case resulting from an in-bounds avalanche that killed one skier and injured two others.  Adam also recovered over $2 million for Park City Mountain Resort in a case against a homeowners association that allegedly failed to perform contractually required structural maintenance on a multilevel parking structure at the base of the ski resort.  In addition to representing ski resorts, Adam has also represented outdoor companies such as Black Diamond Equipment in products liability cases involving allegedly defective climbing equipment and backcountry ski gear.  Adam also donates his time on a pro bono basis to the International Surfing Association which is the nonprofit International Governing Body for the sport of surfing.
